Anthony David Gonzalez was conceived in Torrance on February 27 in 1976. He was born in the southern part of California. He was a student at Huntington Beach High School and was a top basketball and football player. Gonzalez excelled in both activities at University of California, Berkeley. He was instrumental in leading the football team to the 1996 Aloha Bowl, where he beat the record of the school bowl with nine receptions.
