Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American producer and actress best famous for the roles she performed in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist as well as the TV series The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue is an actress for theater and film as well as an actor and producer. Her acting journey began with theater, and was later featured in numerous television shows and in mainstream and independent films. The actress became famous for her role as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on the epic BET series The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she earned critical acclaim, as well as various nominations and awards including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. In 1995 she made her acting debut with The Tempest as Ariel. Her stage credits include Broadway production of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Film-wise she is most famous for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her role as a frequent character on ABC's drama detective series High Incident earned her praises.
